Terms
Terms Of Service
These terms cover the use of this website and the basis on which we quote for and carry out exterior cleaning work. If anything here is unclear, ask before booking rather than after.
Quotes and prices
- Quotes are free and carry no obligation to book.
- A quote given from photographs is based on what those photographs show. If the job on the day is materially different, for example the growth is far heavier than it appeared or access is not as described, we will tell you and agree a revised price with you before starting.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Prices quoted are for the work described. Additional services requested on the day are priced separately and agreed with you first.
Booking and access
- By booking you confirm you own the property or have the owner's permission for the work to be carried out.
- You agree to provide reasonable access, including to gates, side passages, outside taps and electricity where the job requires it. If we cannot access the work area on the agreed date and no alternative can be arranged, a call out charge may apply.
- Please move vehicles, garden furniture, planters and anything fragile away from the work area before we arrive, or tell us in advance so we can allow time.
- Windows and doors should be closed while pressure washing or soft washing is carried out.
The work itself
- We choose the cleaning method appropriate to the surface. In particular we do not high pressure wash roof tiles, render or other surfaces where that would risk damage, even if asked to.
- Exterior cleaning improves the condition and appearance of a surface. It cannot reverse permanent damage. Deeply ingrained oil, rust, paint spillage, spalled concrete, faded colour and pitted or eroded surfaces may improve without disappearing entirely. Where we expect that to be the case, we will say so before starting.
- We are not responsible for pre existing defects revealed by cleaning, such as failed pointing, cracked or slipped tiles, perished sealant, loose gutter brackets, rotten timber or previously hidden staining. Where we notice such things we will tell you and where practical photograph them.
- Where treatments such as biocide are applied, results continue to develop for days or weeks after the visit. This is normal and expected.
Payment
- Domestic work is payable on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Commercial and larger contract work may be invoiced on agreed terms.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on invoices that remain unpaid beyond their due date.
Cancellation and weather
- Please give as much notice as you can if you need to rearrange. There is no charge for cancelling with reasonable notice.
- Work may be postponed for heavy rain, high winds, freezing conditions or anything else that makes the job unsafe or the results unreliable. You will be contacted and a new date arranged.
Insurance and liability
- We hold public liability insurance covering the work we carry out. A copy of the certificate is available on request.
- Any concern about the work should be raised with us within 7 days of completion so we can come back and look at it. We would always rather return and put something right than have you unhappy about it.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Photographs
We take before and after photographs of work as a matter of course, both as a record for you and for quality purposes. Where an image might be used as an example of our work, it will not identify your property or address unless you have specifically agreed to that.
About this website
The content on this site is provided in good faith as a general guide to the services we offer. Images are used to illustrate the type of work carried out. Nothing on this site forms a contract until a quote has been given and accepted.
